Course
Requirements : Take the provided pretest, read the book "More
Than a Game : A New Focus on Senior Activity Services" by
Brenda Corbett, CTRS and take the provided post test.
You may mail or fax your materials to DH Special Services. Once
the materials are received and a passing grade is determined,
your certificate will be mailed to you. If you are in need of
the certificate sooner,
a copy can be faxed to you and the original mailed.
Course
Content: The reading will introduce the activity professional
to the individualized concept of programming, based on need and
interest of the elderly resident. A wide variety of activities
will be discussed, including programs for the high and lower functioning
resident. Specific programs to meet specific needs and interests
will also be outlined and explained.
