Course
Requirements : Take the provided pretest, read the book "Quality
Assurance for Activity Programs" by Richelle Cunninghis,
Ed.M., OTR/C and Elizabeth Best-Martin, MS, CTRS, ACC, take the
provided post test and complete the self-reflection worksheet.
You may mail or fax your materials to DH Special Services. Once
the materials are received and a passing grade is determined,
your certificate will be mailed to you. If you are in need of
the certificate sooner,
a copy can be faxed to you and the original mailed.
Course
Content: The reading and the worksheet will guide the activity
professional in understanding the process of quality assurance,
setting up an effective quality assurance program for the activity/recreation
department and following through in addressing identified concerns.
The participant will be introduced to basic terminology related
to quality assurance, self assessment and measuring quality.
